A guided tour of the major international exhibition devoted to the work of the Aix Master, Paul Cezanne (1839-1906). Travel back in time and explore over 40 years of Cezanne’s work. Gaze at landscapes, portraits, genre art and still lifes that capture the influence of Jas de Bouffan, Cezanne’s family home, on the father of modern painting.
It’s a golden opportunity to picture the Aix artist in his homeland and feast your eyes on masterpieces including The Card Players and the unique view of the House and Farm at Jas de Bouffan.

Au sein de la chapelle des Pénitents blancs (Granet XXe), le musée Granet accueille l’exceptionnelle collection Henry et Rose Pearlman pour une durée de trois ans. Cette collection prestigieuse, réunie entre 1945 et 1974, est l’une des plus importantes au monde consacrée à l’art européen de la fin du XIXe et du début du XXe siècle.
Elle enrichit également l’exposition internationale « Cezanne au Jas de Bouffan », présentée en parallèle. Les visiteurs auront l’opportunité unique d’admirer une cinquantaine de chefs-d’œuvre signés par des maîtres tels que Manet, Gauguin, Van Gogh, ainsi qu’un ensemble remarquable d’aquarelles, dessins et peintures de Paul Cezanne.

Paul Cezanne’s family home, Jas de Bouffan, is reopening in 2025. The iconic bastide (mansion) takes groups on a deep dive into the artist’s personal life and work.
The bastide is under restoration and the first renovated rooms are now ready to visit: Cezanne’s very first studio, the large Provençal kitchen, Madame Cezanne’s bedroom and the sweeping staircase. Every room surrounds you in the artist’s family atmosphere and gives you an insight into his everyday life. The sprawling 5ha grounds are home to a unique artistic trail introducing visitors to the same landscapes that inspired Cezanne.

Atelier des Lauves, Aix-en-Provence

Soak up Paul Cezanne’s world at his Les Lauves Studio where he spent his final years as an artist. The iconic building is under restoration and set the scene for the artist’s swan song. Visitors can explore his belongings and letters in rooms that have been out of bounds until now, such as the kitchen, dining room and lounge.
Emile Bernard’s description of the studio during your guided tour provides a unique insight into the master’s private life.
